In over 30 percent of motorist/bicycle accidents, either the driver or the cyclist has a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher (according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). We’d like to remind motorists and bicyclists alike to travel responsibly this holiday season.

Bikers, given the increased dangers of the holiday and winter months – which include drunk drivers, slippery conditions and earlier sunsets – it is especially important that we wear our helmets, use our lights (in snow, rain or overcast conditions and at dawn, dusk and nighttime) and carefully plan our routes.
